The course Building Construction Design Assembly consists in the specialization and the extension of the basic knowledge fixed in the field of dry construction.
The student will apply the knowledge on industrialized and prefabrication systems as a starting point to look for new materials that could be used in dry construction, with a low environmental impact, and using sustainable techniques to apply in their execution, that shall be studied and proposed. The knowledge on the assembly and set up systems innate to the new materials to be studied is taken into detail in order to develop a prototype, from which the essential technical documents will be developed for its execution and set up.

in this exercise a chair model will be taken (chosen by the student) and it will be dismantled.
With the pieces acquired, an ephemeral pavilion will be proposed and designed, providing a solution to the elements and constructive meetings.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

- To describe and organize the basic construction systems in building and their comprehensive concision applied to the model.
- To understand and to solve appropriately the constructions systems below grade, the enclosure systems, the doors and windows, the communication systems, the space partition system and the finishing; all from the selected dry construction systems.

- To analyze the best construction systems and the ability to set the basic construction systems up.
- To prove the adequate selection and use of the materials and the execution procedures for each of the dry construction systems, as well as the interrelation between them and the whole system.
. To research and learn the technologies and set up methods of the basic construction systems, and their evolution, in order to make the student aware of the sustainable systems use. To extract and to gather all the required information related to it.
- To organize, to form and to develop the technical documents for the correct representation of the systems, in analytical and concise documents.

- To determine, to compare and to prove the system ́s technical validity.
